Most of our class went backpacking in Byron Bay on one of our 3 day weekends. It's a laid-back beach town south of Brisbane.

The rainforest came up right to the beach!
Shane and Sean went spearfishing in the shark-infested waters and caught these fish! Everyone pitched in to help cook them at the hostel and we had a huge feast.

We hiked up to the lighthouse to watch the sunset and we saw lots of whales swimming up the coast.
