Arrival in Brisbane and The University of Queensland

This is the gated community that I live in Bardon.
There's a really nice pool and a tennis court.
This is the Brisbane river that runs through the city and right next to campus. You can take the CityCat ferry down the river; it's really nice but a bit more expensive than the bus. People wakeboard, kayak, and boat down the river but it's advisable not to swim in it because there are plenty of Bull Sharks in there.
This is one of the beautiful lakes on campus....
and these are the giant eels that live in it!
This is a Water Dragon, one of the many that live around and swim in the lakes/ponds.
These are some birds, that try to steal your food, by the lake... the Sacred Ibis
Guinea fowl
Some sort of goose
Purple Swamphen

  2. Hey Molly,

We've been really enjoying your photos and updates. It looks like you're having a great time and incredible experience. We're just wondering when you have time to study;)
Last week Nora and I helped move Lizzy into Isla Vista. Nice place, but gonna be packed. She left yesterday to get settled in before school starts.

Nora says hi, and we look forward to seeing more pics.

We love you and miss you!
